VDG is able to support veterans because of their team of volunteers, all of whom are divers, and all of whom are committed to giving veterans the sense of peace and freedom that scuba diving can provide. But volunteers alone do not afford VDG the ability to provide the programs to train divers and keep them engaged and active in diving. And that is where the generous support of our donors, sponsors and dive partners is critical to our mission.
No one at VDG draws a salary. All financial support goes directly to our modest administration and operating costs, and the funding our high quality training programs so that we can assure successful certifications of safe and competant divers, and deliver the physical and spiritual benefits that many veterans enjoy as a result of their freedom to explore the underwater world without the constraints that they may experience on land.
